President and Chair

Karen is in her second term as elected Chief of the Wet’suwet’en First Nation   since June 2010. She is the President of BLNDC. The Wet’suwet’en First Nation has about 242 members on and off reserve.

Lake Babine Nation


On July 3rd, 2015 Chief Adam was re-elected for his second term.  The Lake Babine Nation is the 2nd largest reserve and has approximately 2,422 members on and off reserve. Lake Babine consists of the following communities: Woyenne, Ft. Babine, Old Fort, Pinkut Lake/ Donald's Landing and Tachet.

Skin Tyee First Nation

Rene is the Chief for the Skin Tyee Nation. Rene became Chief in 2012 and is a new board member of BLNDC. Skin Tyee population has about 175 members on and off reserve.

Burn Lake Band


Chief Dan George was re-elected as Chief October 22, 2014 of Burns Lake Band. Burns Lake Band about 128 members on and off reserve.

Nee Tahi Indian Band


Ken holds the economic development position with Nee Tahi Buhn Indian Band. Nee Tahi Buhn Indian Band has about 144 members on and off reserve.

Chief Corrina Leween is the newly elected chief of the Cheslatta Carrier Nation on June 1, 2015. The Cheslatta Carrier Nation has about 358 members that live on and off reserve
