Driving School

Committed to teaching safe driving throughout the traditional territory of the Wet'suwet'en, 6 Nations Driving School offers comprehensive driving education and lessons. Our ICBC-approved Graduated  Licencing Program (GLP) classes, Learners Knowledge Courses, and flexible driving lessons ensure you are well-prepared for the road. With talented and passionate instructors and a vehicle for driving lessons and testing, we provide everything you need to become a confident driver. PRICING

At BLNDC Driving School, we serve Indigenous and non-Indigenous people, offering comprehensive training to support safe and confident driving.
 

For Indigenous learners, funding opportunities are available, making driving lessons accessible without out-of-pocket expenses. Non-Indigenous learners are welcome to enroll at competitive rates, shown below, ensuring everyone in our community can access high-quality driver education.

Single Lesson

60 Minutes

$100.00

Students must provide a valid BC Learners Drivers Licence or Drivers Licence including foreign drivers licence before the first lesson.

Students must always carry their licence during training.

Each driving lesson will have a minimum of 55 minutes of practice time.

Road Test Prep

90 minutes

$190.00

This includes utilizing the driving school vehicle and road test drop off and pickup.

Lesson Packages

60 minutes 

2 Lessons - $180.00

4 Lessons - $360.00

6 Lessons - $540.00

8 Lessons - $720.00

Please Note: If we ask a new student to arrive 5-10 minutes earlier than the lesson time, please do so, as this time is used to fill out the required paperwork. If the student does not arrive early as requested, then this time to fill out paperwork will go into the lesson's instruction time.

Learners Class

10 Hours

$250.00

This 2-day in-class course helps students study for their knowledge test.

Includes knowledge test and license fees.

Graduated License Program

32 Hours

$1,400.00

The theory portion of this course is done over 4 days at BLNDC. Once the practical portion as per below is completed, the student can receive two high school credits, and if the student stays fine-free for the duration of the Novice portion, they can take the last 6 months off the Novice license. 

As per ICBC curriculum requirements of 20 hours in class and 12 hours of practical driving lessons for a total of 32 hours

Includes road test and license fees.

OUR GRADUATES

  • Can I get funding to pay for the driving course?
    We understand the importance of making driving education accessible to everyone. We currently offer funding support for members of the Lakes District First Nations and its community members to help cover the cost of our courses. Currently, funding is unavailable for any First Nation person from anywhere unless their band pays the fee to put on the lesson. We are dedicated to supporting our community and ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to learn safe driving skills.
  • Can I reschedule or cancel my lesson?
    Flexibility is key to our service. If you need to reschedule or cancel your lesson, please contact your instructor. We’ll work with you to find a better time that fits your schedule.
  • I don't have a vehicle, how am I going to do the exam?
    No need to worry! 6 Nations Driving School provides our vehicle for all lessons and during your driving exam.
  • Do I take my drivers exam at 6 Nations Driving School?
    Yes we can book an in vehicle exam on their behalf with an ICBC tester who is in town usually one day a week. Once you have completed your course and driving lessons at 6 Nations Driving School, you can also take your driver's exam at the nearest ICBC Driver Licensing Office. We can assist you with booking your exam and provide our vehicle for the test.
  • Do I need anything to take a course or lesson?
    Yes, you will need to bring a piece of identification to enroll in a course or take a lesson. This ensures we can verify your identity and get you started on your driving journey.
  • What does "ICBC approved course" mean?
    An "ICBC approved course" means that our driving courses meet the standards and requirements set by the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia (ICBC). This approval ensures that our curriculum is comprehensive, up-to-date, and designed to help you become a safe and knowledgeable driver. Completion of an ICBC approved course may also provide benefits such as reduced waiting times for certain license stages.
