Indigenous Women &
Youth Entrepreneurship
Burns Lake Native Development Corporation supports Indigenous women and youth who are exploring business ideas or strengthening an existing venture. Through the Indigenous Women Entrepreneurship and Indigenous Youth Entrepreneurship programs, BLNDC provides practical one-on-one support rooted in community, relationships and long-term sustainability.
WHAT SUPPORT LOOKS LIKE
Advisory
Services
Early-stage support focused on business ideas, feasibility, and next steps. This may include help with understanding market opportunities, shaping a business plan, and exploring funding options.
Counselling &
Mentorship
More personalized support for entrepreneurs working through specific challenges. This can include one-on-one or group mentoring, financial guidance, and help navigating operational or administrative barriers.
Aftercare &
Ongoing Support
Continued check-ins and support after launch or expansion. This includes follow-ups, skill-building opportunities, and planning for long-term sustainability.
WORKSHOPS & SKILL BUILDING

BLNDC is actively developing workshops and training opportunities that respond to community needs. Planned focus areas include financial literacy, bookkeeping, business management, and business plan development.
These sessions are designed to be practical, accessible, and relevant, with the goal of building skills entrepreneurs can apply right away.
